|duo nux| is born from an empathetic and artistic connection between Alice Beatrice Carrino and Cristian Cucco. After 11 years following the same experiences, first in the professional dance training and then as dancers with Compagnia Susanna Beltrami and others choreographers such as Matteo Bittante, Emanuel Gat and Abbondanza-Bertoni. Their own creative requirement gives birth to |duo nux|: nux like walnut, made by an external and an internal, shell and seed, visible and hidden, perfect synthesis of opposite that became one; two  in one. Duo Nux has the support of the Association ContART and the Italian National Dance Production Center DANCEHAUSpiù.

East by North Dance Theatre

Born out of a love for pure movement, East by North Dance Theatre follows the idea that simple or compounding thought can be expressed through vivid movement.  Founded and directed by Sarah Nachbauer and Jon Eden, East by North represents the unrestricted and improvisational spirit that is symbolizing a new wave of modern theatrical dance.  This year the company has performed their work at Jennifer Muller/The Works, Triskelion Arts, Bridge for Dance, T2 Versatility Dance Festival CO, and Amelia Island Dance Festival.


IVONA was founded in 2019 by Pablo Girolami. Born from a desire to express his vision and explore his creativity, the company takes itsname from Girolami’s alter ego. IVONA’s first creation “Manbuhsa” initiated from the collaboration with the dancer Giacomo Todeschi. The duet was performed in various festivals in Switzerland, Italy, Spain, Germany and Turkey. “Manbuhsa” won the Italian prize TWAIN Direzioni_Altre 2019 and the prize for the best potential of choreography as well as the audience award in the festival Cortoindanza 2019 in Cagliari and the Audience award in the 33. Certamen Coreografico of Madrid.IVONA has the support of the Association ContART and the Italian National Dance Production Center DANCEHAUSpiù. Furthermore, the CID Rovereto, the Festival Oriente Occidente and the production center TWAIN as co-producer of “Manbuhsona”, new creation of 2020.

Nika Jankovic / Arian Sajina

Nika Jankovic graduated from the Theaterschool in Amsterdam in 2014 (now Academy for Theater and Dance) as a teacher, performer and maker. As a dancer, she was part of the work of Conny Janssen Danst and Maurice Causey. In 2017, she met Dunja Jocic, a serbian-dutch performer and choreographer with whom she continues to learn as a choreographer assistant. In 2018, Nika created Dance Arian, together with Arian Sajina (performer) and Darja Janosevic (composer). Dance Arian performed in Theater aan de Rijn in Arnhem as part of the Dance Flavours program curated by the Arnhemse Meisjes (September 2018) and at the Dansmakers production house in Amsterdam ( October 2018).

Arian Sajina. Born 1996 in Pula, Croatia, Arian discovered breaking (breakdance) at an early age back in 2008. Over time, he developed passion for dance in a broader sense, which was amplified by attending open classes by a generation of contemporary dance students in his hometown, specifically Ana Hazler, Nika Janković and Ema Janković. From there, after moving to Cologne, Germany, he occassionally flirted with dance theater, in collaboration with nutrospektif collective and Nika. He currently lives in Copenhagen and is active in the local breaking scene.

Sade Mamedova

Sade Mamedova studied at Irina Tikhomirnova’s Ballet School and Nicholas Ogryzskov’s Contemporary Dance School in Moscow. In 2010, she has been touring internationally with the Riverdance Company and in 2013 got her bachelor at the Classical Dance University of Music and Performing Arts Frankfurt am Main. Since 2011 has been associated with the UnterwegsTheater . From 2013 was a member at the Theater Regensburg for three years and two years at the Lucerne Theater. Since 2018 became a freelancer, who has received several awards in (Copenhagen, Hanover, Taipei) as a dancer and choreographer and participated projects; Reconstruction (2019) with Unterwegs Theater and A Monteverdi Project (2018) with Saar Magal at Staatsoper Berlin and since 2019  associated with Klever dance company


Olivia Court Mesa is a chilean-israeli independent dance artist. Devoted to performance art for the past 25 years,  performing, choreographing, improvising and working for other creators as well. At 17 she moved to Germany and studied contemporary dance and teaching at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln. After graduating she worked as a freelancer in Germany with VeraSanderArtConnects and Angulo Alterno (Mexico) companies. She joined the companies MSschrittmacher in the Theater of Oldenburg and then Marco Santi Tanztheater in the Theater of Osnabrück, where she worked with Guy Weizman & Roni Haver, Martin Stiefermann, Marco Santi, Luc Dunberry, among others. Since 2010 she has been based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Currently she is dancing with Yossi Berg & Oded Graf, Renana Raz, Sahar Azimi, Roy Assaf, Dafi Altabeb and Rotem Tashach. In 2017, she received Israel’s Ministry of Culture Award for “Best solo performer 2017”. As a choreographer she has been creating since 2001. Besides her passion for performing art, Olivia teaches floor work, contact improvisation and partnering work with a clear approach for anatomy and functional movement in schools, programs and dance companies in Israel and abroad.   She is a mother of two, Vipassana meditator, studied the Ilan Lev method and is a member of the contact improvisation community in Israel.

Purnendra Meshram

Purnendra Meshram is an India based movement artist who is working nationally and internationally. Though he started dancing way back in his childhood, his professional carrier started in 2013, when he joined Attakkalari diploma for Movement Arts and Mix Media. He is mainly trained in  various technique of Contemporary along with a good authority in Hip-hop and  Kalaripayattu. He had trained under some finest mentors of the world. He worked with many renowned choreographers in India and abroad. He worked in Dubai Parks and Resort for a year as a performer. Currently he is performing, teaching and focused on creating his own works. His recent work “2 Men” won the first prize at Festival 10 Sentidos, Choreographic Competition (Valencia, Spain) and also claimed the runner up title in PECDA 2018 (Chennai,India). He is also devised and choreographed “In A Muddle“, a solo improvisation piece so far and a work in progress, showcased in Chhattisgarh and Play Practice Artists Residency, Bangalore.

Yotam Peled

Yotam Peled was born in Kibbutz Beit Keshet in Israel in ‘89. Since childhood he has practiced fine arts, athletics, and Capoeira. At the age of 21, after finishing service in the Israeli defense forces, he began dancing, and later on pursued higher education in contemporary circus. In 2015 Yotam relocated to Berlin, and since then he has been working as a freelance performer with several European choreographers, among them Maura Morales, Yann L’hereux, Troels Primdahl, Jill Crovisier and Mitia Fedotenko. Alongside performing, he has been creating his own choreographic work, which toured festivals and venues in Israel, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain, France, The Netherlands, Norway, North Macedonia, Luxembourg, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. His solo performance ‘Boys Don’t Cry’ has received awards from Awaji Circus Art, Würzburg tanzSpeicher, MASDANZA, Gdansk Dance festival and Corpomobile Rome. His first ensemble work ‘Entropia’ was created in 2018, as part of ‘THINK BIG’ – a collaboration of the city opera of Hanover and TANZtheater International festival. In 2018 Yotam was selected to the prestigious TalentLAB platform in the Grand Theatre of Luxembourg, to create ‘ALPHA’, with his ensemble ‘Yotam Peled & the Free Radicals’, in a residency mentored by choreographer Hofesh Shechter. The piece premiered in Trauma Bar und Kino, Berlin, August 2019, and was invited to festivals such as Altofest, Tanzmesse NRW and Tanztage Ingolstadt. In November 2019 he was a resident choreographer in Skopje Dance Theater and created ‘The Tragedy of the Tiger Beetle’. Over 2020/21 he will create new works for the graduates of EDCM, Canada, and Frontier Danceland, Singapore. Yotam has been a guest teacher and collaborator in Fontys Academy of Arts, Folkwang University of Arts, Dock11, Munstrum Theater, Cie. Hors Surface, Cooperativa Maura Morales, Overhead Project, and numerous festivals and dance studios in Europe and Asia.

Roni Rotem

Roni Rotem is a choreographer, dancer and a dance teacher based in Berlin and Tel Aviv. 2019 prize winner for independent choreographers from the cultural minister of Israel. She graduated from the Danceworkshop Gaaton, worked as a professional dancer in Jerusalem dance theater company and as freelance dancer with Israeli and USA choreographers. While dancing in several projects, Roni completed her B.A in dance, with a teaching certificate from The Kibbutzim College. During the past 3 years she created 3 dance works with an international cast of dancers from Japan, The US, Australia, Greece & Israel and toured in Spain, Germany, Austria performed all over Israel including multiple performances at Suzzane Dellal center. The success of Suzannae Dellal shows brought an invitation to perform for The Israeli International Exposure with 2 of Her performances, which brought festival invitations across Europe. These days she is managing her own dance group ” Roni Rotem Dance Group” performing her works all over Berlin and Europe. For the past 6 month the group had successful performances in Berlin and Vienna. ( Paul studios, Petersburg Art Space, battleROYAL, Tanzintents Festival & Brick5 Craft Choreography, Vienna ). In addition, she is a dance teacher at Tanzfabrik, Motions, Papillon Berlin and KCDC summer intensive program in Israel.


CHAIM GEBBER-OPEN SCENE is a Physical Theater dance company  founded in 2014 under the artistic direction of Chaim Gebber. Unification, culture, and social behaviours comprise the foundation of our work and process.For his Projects CHAIM GEBBER developed a system of improvisation and composition tools the Conscious Body System  that gives a straightforward and pragmatic entrance to his exploration of body mechanism and perception.Performances and projects like Sharing Spaces, Body Play , Exploring Visuals, For One’s Sake  confirm and validate this direction of research in understanding and unifying the Humans as a single “RACE”.CHAIM GEBBER uses in his works choreographic constellations and a deep understanding of movement to question cultural / social behaviour in depth physical and emotional states.Out of this principle born Body Play: an ongoing artistic, cultural and social project that so far had connected guests from Morocco, China, South Korea, Brazil, Italy, Austria, Germany, through performances residences in Germany and abroad.

Jasmine Ellis / LAJAMARTIN

Jasmine Ellis is a Canadian filmmaker and choreographer based out of Munich Germany. Ellis has worked professionally in dance as a performer and choreographer since 2006. In 2011 Ellis co-founding Bad Posture Productions, a group dedicated to making contemporary dance films. Along side Ellis’s many stage productions her experimental drama, action and dance film work has grown steadily including outstanding shorts such as PLAN B (2011), INFORMATIE (2014) and most recently CARGO (2017)

LAJAMARTIN is a physical dance theatre company founded by Laja Field and Martin Durov. Originally from Salt Lake City and Slovakia the two met dancing for Johannes Wieland at the Staatstheater Kassel, Germany. LAJAMARTIN, premiered their first work “Tatry” with DANCENOW at Joe’s Pub Festival in NYC and performed the piece again in Circulate at Newcastle College, England. As invited guests, LM presented ”Lucy Part 1” for BRINE in SLC and later that year, created “Spolu v Case” on the J.L Bella Conservatory in Slovakia. In 2018 LM was selected as a guest choreographer for the inaugural festival LINK produced by SALT dance company and were commissioned by BYU to create a new work on CDT. Back east the two premiered “Unearthed” for the SouthSide Arts and Music Festival in Steelstacks, PA, performed an excerpt of the piece at Wesfest NYC, Austin Dance Festival and in Europe at GIF 4 in Brussels, Belgium. This year, while touring to teach in Europe LM premiered a new work commissioned by the Anton Bruckner Private University in Linz, Austria and are currently working on a new piece for Kizuna Dance in NYC. LM will also be creating a new duet to premiere at Gibney NYC and shown at b12 festival in Berlin as well as in the Sibenik Dance Festival in Croatia.
